GW released an FAQ for three AoS factions recently, Sons of Behemat, Hedonites of Slaanesh, and Daughters of Khaine- check out what’s changing!
They didn’t really put out much fanfare with these FAQs, other than the inclusion of Designer Commentary. But still, it’s good to know what’s changing with your favorite factions. If you play any of these factions, you can grab the FAQs here. But we’ll have all the highlights below so don’t worry.
3 New FAQ Arrive For Age of Sigmar
These are the new March 2021 errata changes to each faction along with Designer Commentary to help clarify some rules. Let’s get into it!
Sons of Behemat FAQ
There are two main changes for the Sons of Behemat. First, specifying the Glowy Latern Artifact to give Wizard tag, 1 cast, 1 unbind, plus they know Arcane bolt and Mystic Shield. Second, Kraken-eater, Warstomper, & Gatebreakers, each with the longshanks ability, now can also ignore the Invocations of Khaine when moving.
Sons of Behemat Designer Commentary
There were a few questions answered here for the Giants Designer Commentary, the ones that stick out to us are: Mega-gargants and Mancrushers cant keep control of 2 objectives at once with their Mighteir Makes Rightier ability. Plus, a Gargant with Longhsnkas still counts as retreating if they retreat next to a model that they get to “ignore” when moving.
Hedonites of Slaanesh FAQ
Three changes came to Hedonites of Slaanesh this time around involving a grammar error, adding a melee profile to a ranged unit, and an update to a previous 2019 White Dwarf rules involving Syll’Esske.
Hedonites of Slaanesh Designer Commentary
Three questions are addressed by the designers involving Gorge on Excess applies to total damage after all attacks, clarifying summoning with a Fane of Slaanesh and a friendly Hero, and lastly, using Hosts of the Everchosen from the Wrath of the Everchosen book.
Daughters of Khaine FAQ
Daughters of Khaine got a few slight rules updates, however, the biggest by far is the one involving prayers. Most factions with Prayers can chant all prayers they know, now, DoK can only chant a single prayer per character each turn.
Daughters of Khaine Designers Commentary
In the Daughters of Khaine commentary, the clarifications range from Witchbrew only rolling one dice instead of two, to Invocations of Khaine do not count as prayers (which is important considering the change above to prayers).
Do you think the designer’s commentary is helpful, or are errata’s better?
