Is Games Workshop foreshadowing a 40k / Fantasy merger? First we have ‘Draigo’ interacting with Fantasy characters, and now did the Skaven talk to the Eldar?
Not only that but in all three End Times books there have been appearances by Daemons that frequent both the 40k and Fantasy worlds as well.
In End Times Thanquol, Games Workshop may have just blurred the lines even more.

The Skaven have decimated the realms of the Lizardmen with debris from space, and as they are looting all the treasures of the temple cities still left, they stumble upon something… different
“The warlock engineers soon discovered the Device of the Great Beyond, a communication apparatus that spoke to beings from beyond the stars. As they swirled its many dials, a querulous voice spoke through the stone speakers. That voice, fair and clear caused the Skaven to bolt away. The device was something like the far-squeaker, but the melodious tones that issued forth were, if anything, kin to the despised speech of the elf-things. As they did not understand the alien language, nor how the arcane contraption worked the warlock engineers pulled the device apart and shot it with warplock pistols until it stopped making any sounds.”
Did the Skaven just prank phone call an Eldar Craftworld? Or was it the Old Ones, or something…. else?
And if it was the Old Ones, are they still alive somewhere??? So many questions and so few answers at this point.
