6 New Black Library Books Coming Next Week!

new-black-library-releases-space-marines-deathwatchOther than new Grey Knights and Thousand Sons, there are also some Black Library releases are on the way to pre-order this Saturday.

Games Workshop just let us in on all the new releases for pre-order this coming Saturday.

Let’s go over the Black Library starting with the Deathwatch releases from Warhammer Community.

Deathwatch: The Long Vigil

It’s a busy week for the 41st Millennium. The Deathwatch are purging Xenos with exactly the level of calm and good humour you’d expect in Deathwatch: The Long Vigil, an anthology containing nine short stories by Steve Parker, Ben Counter, Phil Kelly, Andy Clark and more.

As the veterans from all chapters, you can expect some deadly execution from these highly experienced soldiers in the story.

Darkness In The Blood

Next up, join Commander Dante and Chief Librarian Mephiston of the Blood Angels for a horrifying jaunt through the Imperium Nihilus. Tasked with reconquering that dark and distant half of the galaxy for the Imperium, the Blood Angels must first battle their own genetic curse.

As one of the most popular chapters, this book covering Blood Angels is sure to be a decent book option for a large number of imperium players.

The Infinite and The Divine

Meanwhile, it’s all kicking off for the Necrons as ancient – and we mean ancient – rivals Trazyn the Infinite and Orikan the Diviner engage in a game of cat and mouse that ends civilisations, reshapes timelines, and changes both characters forever in The Infinite and The Divine by Robert Rath, available in paperback for the first time next Saturday.

Necrons are one of the less developed Xenos factions lore-wise, so books like this diving into characters are great for the Warhammer 40k universe development.

Tomb of the Necron

The final instalment of Warhammer Adventures: Warped Galaxies will also be up for pre-order next Saturday in the form of Tomb of the Necron.

With a similar focus on Necrons, this book offers a more child-friendly approach to help get young readers excited about 40k.

Broken City

Last but not least for denizens of the far future, you’ll be able to get your hands on Broken City, an awesome new anthology of crime stories set in the crumbling city of Varangantua, where criminal gangs rule over sprawling, lawless territories.

If you like gangs and Necromunda, this book provides a different perspective on some of the crime within 40k.

Battle for the Soulspring

The final instalment of Warhammer Adventures: Realm Quest is also arriving next week in the form of Battle for the Soulspring. Be sure to pick it up for any younger readers in your life – they won’t want to miss the climax of this great series.

While this might be the conclusion of the series, it is still a great option for young readers who prefer fantasy over Sci-Fi.
