Poke & Prod Them: New GW Rumor Engine

Rumor Engine new GW header wal horWe’ve got a solid GW rumor engine today that appears to be a pike or polearm, prepare to be poked. Check this out.

Warhammer Community just unveiled another rumor engine and this time it’s a spikey-pole. Check out the details of this new bit that looks to be on the way for 40k or AoS.

A Pike To Behold: New GW Rumor Engine

rumor engine 11-17-20This could be a few things, however, the general idea is the same for them all: a pole. Whether this is a staff, pike, polearm, or even decoration on a vehicle or chariot remains to be answered. The spotty craftmanship does suggest however that it is probably for either chaos or destruction based factions.

While martial based tools are usually safer bets in AoS, this could technically be in 40k as well. However, it does look to be more likely based on the Age of Sigmar.

Given the look of the craftsmanship, I think the most likely candidate is Skaven. Particularly this Warlock Engineer. The model could use a good update, and the staff would fit right in on this model. There are also plenty of other Skaven models who could use the pole/staff on their model. Not to mention there’s plenty of old models that need an update in the Skaven faction in particular.

Of course, it could be something else too at the end of the day…

What do you think about this bit? Could it be for a Destruction or Chaos faction in AoS? What’s a model that would be perfectly fitting for this?
