Is this whats coming next for 40k this summer? It sounds just as crazy as the stuff from January that did come true – don’t miss it.

It seems like since winter we heard what sounded like crazy release rumors for 40k. Thing is they mostly all came true.

Now there looks to be a lot of stuff headed our way for WFB and 40K. Here’s the latest.

Via Lords of War (Facebook).

Upcoming 40k products (in order of release)

– Skitarii Codex
– Adeptus Mechanicus Codex
– Craftworld Eldar Codex (following AdMech)
– Space Marines Codex (in Summer)
– Raven Guard vs Tau set (before the Tau book)
– Tau Codex

A few more tidbits about the aforementioned releases
After Admech it will be codex Craftworld: Eldar. Plastic jetbikes and Artach.
Don’t know about a Raven Guard supplement but Adeptus Astartes: Space Marines will release this summer. “

According to BoLS;

OK, now we have to assign this a reliability rating of: Possible.  Lords of War DOES have a good track record, but some of that info is directly contradicted by other solid rumormongers.

In particular, other sources have told BoLS that an Eldar Codex is not in the cards for this year, and to only look for Space Marines and Tau Empire books to get redone. All other codices this year are to be new niche armies such as Harlequins, Mechanicus and one other (several candidates are mentioned).

Eldar however are said to be getting new units this year, but are said to receive them as part of a non-codex release.  So either we would be looking at a standalone White Dwarf release (which is rare, but has happened), or look for the Eldar to be participants in one of the 40K campaign books like last year’s Shield of Baal.

Finally, don’t forget to pencil in WFB 9th for June, so it would appear that GW is going to pair the new edition with Space Marines in the same quarter.  Then of course is 30K, which IS COMING after the summer, but there is conflicting chatter on when.

In any case, we wanted to being you all up to speed with the rumorsphere out there and tell you all to fasten your seatbelts, GW’s releases are clearly not slowing down.

40k Summer Release Roundup

~We’ve seen one codex a month for three months now going on four (for Ad Mech). Does this roadmap seem that far fetched?
