Age of Sigmar 3.0 Dominion Box Set Pricing & Value

Is-it-worth-it-value-dominionWith the AoS 3.0 Dominion box coming very soon, we wanted to see what kind of value you can get from grabbing one of these!

Being hailed as the “Indomitus of Age of Sigmar”, the box better have a lot of value to live up to the name. This is going to be a projected value based on all the other prices we’ve seen for AoS so far. Unless GW has decided to up their standardized prices on everything last second… this should be a solid guide. If you want to see more about the release of the box, you can check that out here. For now, let’s jump into the value!

Projected Value of the New AoS 3.0 Dominion Box: $200

dominion minisDominion is full to bursting with glorious Warhammer goodness – two full armies, each with several units, a powerful Leader, and ample support. It also includes the full Core Book with an exclusive cover, plus loads of warscrolls and reference material.

Killaboss with Stab-grotLet’s start with the Kruleboyz and then move into the Stormcast side of things.

  • 10 x Gutrippaz (Kruleboyz) $50
  • Swampcalla Shaman and Pot-grot (Kruleboyz) $35
  • 20 x Hobgrot Slittaz (Kruleboyz) $50
  • Murknob with Belcha-banna (Kruleboyz) $25
  • 3 x Man-skewer Boltboyz (Kruleboyz) $45
  • Killaboss on Great Gnashtoof (Kruleboyz) $50
  • Killaboss with Stab-grot (Kruleboyz) $35

Total: $290

Again, these are projected, but the prices are based on all the most recent releases for AoS. If you end up splitting this with someone, even if you don’t get the rulebook, you would get a potential value of $290 for paying just $100

Now let’s check out the Stormcast stuff.

  • Knight-Arcanum (Stormcasts) $25
  • Knight-Vexillor with Banner of Apotheosis (Stormcasts) $25
  • Lord-Imperatant with Gryph-hound (Stormcasts) $35

  • 3 x Annihilators (Stormcasts) $50
  • Yndrasta, the Celestial Spear (Stormcasts) $50
  • 10 x Vindictors (Stormcasts) $50

Total: $280

If you split this side with someone, you will be getting a value of $280 for only spending $100. Overall this is a great value!

Total Estimated Value of Both Halves: $580 +Rulebook ($60)

Total Projected Value: $640

($320 split between both factions)

The Value Might Seem High, But Is It Really?

GutrippazAfter seeing prices on GW’s products go up three times over the past few years, it’s not surprising to see a high “value” turn up on this box.

Plus, with this being a new Edition starter and a more or less new faction inside, the value might not be too far off and will get you a ton of minis for not that much cash. Comparing it to Indomitus, it’s basically the same value, just a tiny bit less ($710 versus $660).

Also we’re assuming this is the format some of these kits will release in, as we saw with some of the Indomitus units, GW kept them the same Easy To Build Models, and some they released as mulit-part later as well, for basically the same price as the ETB ones.

Overall, if you want the minis inside, you should pick this up, because this will be the best value we see in a while as they rerelease these models throughout the next year…

Will you be trying to pick one of these up? Are you excited about the box?
