The Battle Shock GT went down over the weekend and these Warhammer 40k army lists took some of the top spots!
The tournament is over and now we’re able to look at which lists managed to secure a place at the top! Check out what these winners brought in their armies.
Battle Shock GT: Top 40k Army Lists
Thanks to Best Coast Pairings we are able to look back at the event as if we were there ourselves.

3rd Place: Marshall Peterson – Orks
2nd Place: Ben Neal – Grey Knights
1st Place: Matt Evans – Tyranids
Matt went for a single detachment of Tyranids led by a Neurothrope, Tyranid Prime, and a Winged Hive Tyrant. The Neurothrope provides some cheap psychic support, while Tyranid Prime is a very cheap HQ with wound re-roll ability. The Tyrant on the other hand is mainly a solo threat that is very mobile and can lay down the beat stick.
Troops start off with a total of 19 Tyranid Warriors, all of which can pump out 3 shots every turn for pretty decent chaff clearing, or run into melee and hit pretty hard too.
Elites start off with a Deathleaper, which serves as a disruption piece preventing things like actions and stratagems on nearby units! A Maleceptor serves as another psyker and can pump out mortal wounds. 6 Pyrovores serve as some cheap models that can explode for mortal wounds, while 3 Venomthropes help to protect nearby units. Zoanthropes offer up even more psykers on the list.
Fast Attacks bring in the new Parasite of Mortrex, which pumps out mortal wounds and can deep strike in. There is also a single Harpy as a mobile flying threat to deal some chip damage every turn.
Finally closing out the list is a Tyrannocyte which is a transport and can deep strike in!
