It’s happening! Be’lakor the dark prince is re-releasing this week for anyone who could not get him due to allocations!
Tons of new releases are here from Games Workshop including the latest “version” of the Chaos Space Marines and Be’lakor’s rules, the latest White Dwarf, and even some more Blood Bowl! Get those hobby dollars ready if you want any of this stuff!
BIG NEWS: Be’lakor Model Re-Releasing This Week!
We talked a lot already about the allocations, but we aren’t too sure about this week. Just be sure to get yours before it’s too late if you are sure you want anything.
White Dwarf 466 $9
White Dwarf Issue 466 is on the horizon, and with it comes a treasure trove of Warhammer goodness including our first foray into a new Flashpoint – the war-torn Octarius sector. The opening salvos of this conflict see the mysterious Dark Krakens Space Marines clash with Hive Fleet Leviathan beneath the waves of the Mirror Sea, complete with Theatre of War rules allowing you to fight your own underwater battles.
Unfortunately for us, the United States and Canada will need to wait an extra week to get our copies. It will however still come with all the usual goodies like Battle Reports and additional lore insights!
New CSM & Be’lakor 40k Rules
War Zone Charadon – Act II: The Book of Fire $60
The book features a wealth of background information plus a narrative campaign allowing you to play out the key engagements for yourself and see how you match up to Typhus and Morvenn Vahl as generals. There are also two new Armies of Renown in the form of The Disciples of Be’lakor and Skitarii Veteran Cohort, and a codex supplement for the Adepta Sororitas Order of Our Martyred Lady.
The book also collates a range of existing rules for the Chaos Space Marines in one place. They have been updated with their relevant FAQ changes and formatted for the current edition of Warhammer 40,000 to give you an easy overview of their Traits, Stratagems, and Relics.
Here’s the list of included Chaos forces in full.
Of course, you will also have access to the usual collector’s edition for a different cover style if you so chose. A sweet bonus for Chaos players who might not care about their rules being compiled, it will also be coming with Be’lakor’s 40k rules! Way back when the rules were previewed they let everyone know that he would be in it.
Now that we also know he is getting a themed “Army of Renown” this might make out for a big update for some CSM players until they get their codex.
Crusade Mission Pack: Amidst the Ashes $40
The book is filled with new Stratagems, Requisitions, and Agendas, and includes options to enhance your vehicles by Awakening the Strong or to power up your psykers by Corrupting the Weak. There are also 24 additional missions for you to play through – six each for Combat Patrol-, Incursion-, Strike Force-, and Onslaught-sized games, making the book perfect for Crusade forces from the recently formed to the grizzled veterans.
As the new narrative game option on the block Crusade already has a ton of content and options, making this another welcomed addition to the more narrative-focused players out there.
Be’lakor, the Dark Master $140
Yes, that’s right! GW has confirmed to retailers today that Be’lakor is re-releasing and orderable as a “new release” this week, so if you still need one to lead you legions of renegades- now is your chance!
Ancient even when the world-that-was was whole, aeons of scheming and subtle preparation are about to bear fruit as Be’lakor makes a power play of realm-shaking proportions in a bid to replace his hated rival Archaon in the esteem of his divine masters.
Be’lakor is a pretty important character in lore, being the first Daemon Prince and all. Unfortunately, he has been on the back burner, but no longer! But that’s not all, he is also coming to 40k with some extra bit options. He is also of course receiving a ton of love via rules in the Charadon Act II book!
Frank ‘n’ Stein $33
This week also sees the release of a Star Player for Blood Bowl, and it’s an update of a classic model. Frank ‘n’ Stein used to be two very average players, but after a bit of help from a Necromancer, he’s proving to be more than the sum of his parts.
He can be taken by any Old World Classic and Sylvanian Spotlight Teams and is perfect for adding a bit of strength and brutality to your undead teams. Frank will be available to pre-order from Forge World on Friday.
Star players were a great addition to Blood Bowl so seeing more factions get their own is a huge step forward for any fans of the game.
