BioWare just announced a full-on remaster of the original trilogy and now has gone so far as to let everyone know a new title is in the works right now as well! Let’s see what we know

BioWare Confirms A New Mass Effect Title

Just days before the new title confirmation, Bioware also announced a 4k remake of the original trilogy coming in spring 2021 for next-gen consoles and PC.

One person is all that stands between humanity and the greatest threat it’s ever faced. Relive the legend of Commander Shepard in the highly acclaimed Mass Effect trilogy with the Mass Effect™ Legendary Edition. Includes single-player base content and DLC from Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, and Mass Effect 3, plus promo weapons, armors, and packs – all remastered and optimized for 4k Ultra HD. More details coming soon. Available Spring 2021 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, with forward compatibility and targeted enhancements on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5.

The trailer doesn’t give much more than just the announcement, but people have found that Garrus shows up twice and have started joking about it in the comments. The video is unlisted but has almost 200,000 views as of right now.

As for the new game, inside the original post by Bioware, they had this to say:

Meanwhile here at BioWare, a veteran team has been hard at work envisioning the next chapter of the Mass Effect universe. We are in early stages on the project and can’t say any more just yet, but we’re looking forward to sharing our vision for where we’ll be going next.

So there ya go! A confirmation, but not really much more than that. Mass Effect is a great series loved by lots of people, hopefully, what we assume will be a game, turns out great and doesn’t take too long to create. Although, judging by the level of the announcement, it probably is.

Have you played Mass Effect? Do you play many RPG video games? Are you getting a next-gen console?
