Blood & Skulls Industry Calls it Quits To Making Bits

Blood & Skulls Industry Calling it Quits featureAfter 15 years, Blood and Skulls Industry is calling it quits, but they are open to offers for someone to keep the amazing bits still flowing

Blood and Skulls Industry has a really awesome line of bits for 40k, but it’s hard to keep a company like this running when you have a lot else going on in life, and they definitely do! While business is still good, but this isn’t their primary job, and it takes an insane amount of work, to get all these bits to market.

They even mention in their post that they are open to a buyer for the line of bits, or maybe even an individual like themselves, to keep the company running. So, if you’re looking for an opportunity to jump into the game, this might be the way to go.

Blood & Skulls Industry Calling it Quits

This info comes from their Facebook Page.

Blood & Skulls Industry Calling it QuitsSince this is their announcement, we’ll let them tell you about it:

All good things must come to an end…
It’s hard to believe it’s been 15 years since I started Blood & Skulls Industry and it’s been a wild ride thanks to all of you. But it’s time for me to move on to other adventures and so I am announcing that we will be closing as of Friday June 30th.
Business is still good but between my real job as an engineer, the volunteer work restoring lighthouses, the Michigan lighthouse merchandising business I run with my wife, and now grandkids there are just too many irons in the fire. I will, however, keep this FB site around for the time being to cover other hobby projects such as the completion of the Land Train.

Now as for what will happen to all the great products from Blood & Skulls Industry that remains to be seen. I’m hoping that either they are picked up by another established casting company or perhaps a young upstart much like myself from so long ago will take up the task. But if they fade off into the sunset that is fine too, it’s been a good run.
So the clock has started. I will warn you that we will not be making any new molds going forward so items may be removed from the store if the casts are no longer of the quality we’re known for, so get them while you can!
Thanks again to all of you.
It’s always sad to see any hobby company going away, but from the sounds of it, it’s not due to low sales. As we said, if you don’t do this as your only job, it can be a lot of time to sink into something that you do after work.

So, let’s hope someone picks up the IP because they have a fantastic line of bits! If you want anything they have to offer, be sure you do it before June 30th.
