Even though he was born in the cold of Siberia the new Marvel Crisis Protocol rules for Colossus, including his character card, are quite hot!
Atomic Mass Games (AMG) has been doing a great job of keeping things interesting as of late. So far we really like the updates and new release for Marvel Crisis Protocol. On their blog, they previewed the new character cards for Colossus.
Also, if you want to pre-order one for yourself, you can right now here.
Don’t forget to check out all the new changes for the game that went into effect on November 22nd here as well.
Colossus Character Card & Rules For Marvel Crisis Protocol
Just like they did with Juggernaut, they did a great job of capturing his character feel with the abilities and stats. With the ability to protect your other characters, damage reduction, Bleed immunity, and decent stats, he will make a serious defensive wall! When you’re skin is metal, however, you can also put out the punishment as well. With Strike and X-Slam he can do some pretty good damage. Here’s what they have to say about the card:
Colossus’ basic attack, Strike, swings his metal appendages and lands as a Strength 5 physical attack. Catching a right cross from a steel fist is enough to rattle almost anyone, so this attack has the Concussive Force special rule, which adds a chance for Colossus to cause the target to lose 1 Power on a hit. For tougher opponents, the Siberian X-Man can bodily slam his targets into the ground with a heavy Supplex in the form of the X-Slam: a Strength 7 attack that stuns his target and has the chance to stagger it as well.
Injured Side
The biggest change here is when injured he actually gets better against enemy attacks. As Bonhe Moi becomes innate, meaning he will be harder to take out. As we said, on either side he loves to protect his teammates:
Colossus is more concerned about keeping his teammates safe from harm, sometimes at his own expense. Big Brother has him putting his steel body in the path of harm to shield his companions. For 2 Power, when an enemy targets a character within Range 2 of Colossus, he becomes the target of the attack instead.
Keep him near a character you need to survive and he can let them continue dishing out the damage! He’s almost like a better version of Cap, for the X-men!
