The new Chapter Approved rules for the Orks have been spotted, but the question is; did they get any better? Come get your fill of the new Dakka!
Scanner is at it again, and this time we’re getting a look at the new rules for the Orks from the upcoming Chapter Approved book. Let’s take a look.
The new Ork Warlord Trait, Might is Right, is giving your Warlord a +1 to their Strength characteristic.
The Relic is going to replace the bearer’s big choppa and will give them +2 Strength, -2 AP, and does D3 Damage.
They’re also getting two new Stratagems, both costing 1 CP.
Mob Up: At the end of the Movement Phase and you select two Ork Infantry within 2′ of each other that have the same datasheet. If one unit has 10 or more models, and the other has fewer than 10, the two units merge and for the rest of the battle are counted as a single unit for all rules purposes.
Seems like a good way to avalanche your way across the tabletop, even if it’s catching up with a unit that just used “da jump”.
Dakka! Dakka! Dakka! is used before an Ork Infantry or Biker shoots in the Shooting Phase. Each hit roll of 6+ for a model in that unit immediately makes an extra attack against the same unit they’re attacking. Your extra attacks cannot generate any further attacks.
The Orks are getting some nice additions with the new Warlord Trait, Relic, and new Stratagems. But, it’s not just the Orks that are getting new rules, make sure you’re checking back in with us for the latest Chapter approved updates.
