Dreams & Machines: New Miniature-Based RPG Dropping Soon

dreams and machines modiphusModiphius has announced Dreams and Machines, a new miniature-based RPG set in the far future and coming summer of 2023!

Modiphius always comes out with some fantastic games, and their current line is already impressive, but they aren’t stopping there! This new game is set on a far-flung planet cut off from Earth and left in ruins. Your characters will scavenge incredibly-advanced technology from abandoned facilities and megacities.

To start, it looks like there will be three classes and plenty to dive into! They revealed the new project at GAMA, but they also released a bunch of info about the game, let’s take a closer look!

New Miniature-Based RPG Dreams & Machines Coming From Modiphius Soon!

The info comes from the new Dreams and Machines website.

Dreams and Machines RPG 2

An original setting created by Chris Birch will have tabletop gaming built into its core, as we introduce you to the world of Dreams and Machines through an RPG starter set, playable straight out of the box, at Gen Con in August 2023. Then later we’ll release a fully-supported roleplaying game line, and build on the success of Fallout: Wasteland Warfare and The Elder Scrolls: Call to Arms with a miniature skirmish game.

Well, just another reason to go to GenCon this year! Plus, it’s only a few months away now, so we expect to see more coming very soon and hopefully some minis. Either way, it’s cool to get a full playable starter set later this year.

Dreams & Machines RPG

Dreams and Machines is a dangerous and exciting far future world that is still filled with hope and optimism, and we’ve brought together a diverse team of creators to help bring that world to life. They’ll be helping us create stories on Evera Prime, and with the RPG you’ll be able to tell stories of your own. We’re so excited to explore Dreams and Machines with you.

Dreams and Machines RPG 3

Set on a far-flung planet cut off from Earth, left in ruins after a war with destructive mechs now known as Wakers, Evera Prime will be yours to travel and discover. You’ll scavenge incredibly-advanced technology from abandoned facilities and megacities, to forge a new life, help your community, and stop threats from Wakers rising and rampaging across Evera’s surface. Play Archivists, Dreamers, or Spears, and rebuild the world in your own way, growing and trading with Everan communities. But in the shadows, a malevolent corrupted AI known only as the Builder plots against humanity… And it’ll be up to you and your friends to uncover its grand schemes and protect those you know and love from its machinations.

The setting sounds really interesting, and it’s a good take on an RPG. Plus, with a totally new world and setting, they can really go crazy with everything and make all kinds of characters.

Dreams & Machines RPGPlus, we assume the better it does, the more they will come out with!

More to come as we get closer to the release date of August 3rd, 2023. Be sure to sign up below for their newsletter to stay up to date on everything for Dreams and Machines.
