BIG changes are coming for the Eldar, as their FAQ sees some deceptively heavy handed of updates to not just one but THREE codex books today!

GW is continuing it’s once a week trend of releasing a new draft FAQ each Wednesday. Today they have taken a deeper look into the Eldars, and answered some questions you may have been wondering about yourself.

Buckle up WAAC Eldar players (not you fluffy ones though) you will may not like this FAQ:

It’s the turn of the Eldar this week, all of them, from Craftworld to Commorragh.

We want your feedback on the latest batch of draft Codex FAQs, and we have three of them.
You know the score by now:

– Read through these draft FAQs
– If you think any answers need clarification, post up a comment on the relevant image
– Make sure your question is concisely written, and in plain English
Do the answers all make sense? Are they clear? Do they throw up any more potential issues?
(We’re looking primarily for whether you understand them, rather than if you like the answer.)

You have a week to get your comments in, then we’ll pass them on to the rules guys for the final FAQs.

We’ll be posting more FAQ drafts for feedback over the new few weeks, so if you’re eagerly awaiting the one for your codex, don’t worry, we’re on it.
Finally, we wanted to say thanks again to all of you who sent in your questions – you’re helping to help make this game we all love even better.

Well for much of the Imperium this day will be remember, as the day the Eldar got taken down a peg or two.

Let’s run down the top changes:

1. Warp Spiders cant just boost around the table like kittens on crack anymore, just mostly like kittens. Which in the Age of Wulfen they can be run to ground with retaliative ease now.

2. Farseers can’t just arbitrarily Deny the Witch on every spell no matter if it was cast on a squad within range.

3. Webway portals shenanigans from Deep strike and gate of infinity are way less accurate now.

4. Serpent shield clarification is nice, but it’s not really OP anymore since the new book, BUT it would be nice to know the exact point of origin on the hull itself to measuer range and 45 fixe arc from IMHO.

5. D Sycthes lost a step with the Non S10 ruling, and remember they are -1 to the D chart already anyhow. So no more pinpoint arrival in a Dark Eldar transport from the first rulebook FAQ, and now their guns are less powerful as well today.
