Fort Palooza GT: Top 40k Army Lists
Thanks to Best Coast Pairings we are able to look back at the event as if we were there ourselves.
If you wanted to see the names and factions of the overall winners, we’ve included that below.
3rd Place: Jeremiah Petit – Custodes

1st Place: Quinn Kotecki – Grey Knights
Quinn’s winning list was two Patrols of Grey Knights, with the first led by a Techmarine to help repair vehicles (mainly Dreadknights), and a Grand Master in Nemesis Dread, which is a powerhouse of a unit for both combat and support, being able to square up with nearly anything all while providing support with psychic powers if needed.
Troops keep it simple with 2 5 man strike squads just to help grab objectives and be a few more bodies in combat phases. There are also a total of 15 Interceptors, which serve as the main mobile forces that can help grab distance objectives or clean up lone enemy squads efficiently.
Closing out the first detachment is a normal Nemesis Dread, which is very similar to the Grand Master Variant, but most notably missing a few support abilities as he isn’t a leader like his big brother.
The second Patrol is led by a second Grand Master in Dread, multiplying the power of the force. There is also one more 5 man Strike squad and 10 more Interceptors, giving the list more redundancy for some extra reliability.
Finally closing the list is 2 more normal Nemesis Dreads, bringing the total of HQ and Heavy Dreads up to 5, which is easy to see why as they are easily the faction’s best and most point efficient model!
It’s definitely worth mentioning that it appears you can no longer take to <brotherhood> subfactions in one Grey Knight army with the new Chapter Approved 2022 rules.
