Imperial Knights score a spot behind the best armies as a new homebrew Warhammer 40k army list emerged at the Glasshammer GT #10!
9th Edition’s meta is again in flux, but some players take lists with units that nobody expected. Check out this awesome homebrew list that emerged in a tournament over the weekend. This shows us that sometimes it’s more about the general’s skill than what you play.
Glasshammer GT #10: Top 40k Homebrew Army List
Thanks to Best Coast Pairings, we can look back at the event as if we were all there ourselves. Check out the details here.
If you wanted to see the names and factions of the overall winners, we’ve included that below.
However, we aren’t covering all those lists. Instead, we will look at just one of our favorites this week.
Glasshammer GT #10: Adam Lynch – Imperial Knights 5th Place
Adam shows us once again that while Knights aren’t getting many 1st place finishes recently, it’s still possible to get to the door!
In typical Knight fashion, this is a single detachment. For big knights, he went for a Paladin and a Magaera. The Paladin is a staple all-purpose knight featuring good weapons for all targets and ranges, while, of course, having the benefit of being durable and mobile!
The Megaera, on the other hand, is great at clearing chaff thanks to its pseudo-flamer and can even take swipes at armor thanks to his Siege Claw.
The remaining forces are four Moiraxes and two Helverins. The Moiraxes are great at taking out smaller models and can usually eliminate minor-models armor saves completely thanks to the -2 AP, while the Helverins provide some more volume of shots to help clear chaff for the big guns to roll through!
