1st Place: Ben Jones – Eldar
Ben went for a 2 detachment list starting with a patrol led by an Avatar of Khaine and Eldrad. The Avatar is a powerhouse, essentially acting as a mini-primarch that can absolutely obliterate enemy models in melee. Eldrad on the other hand is a great psyker with fantastic abilities making him one of the best HQ psykers in the game and an overall great support piece.
Troops keep the points to a minimum with a 5 man ranger squad for cheap bodies to fill the requirement. Elites bring in 2 Warlock Skyrunners for even more psychic support but this time swapping out raw power for some added mobility so they can be anywhere they might be needed.
Closing out the patrol are 2 Night Spinners in the Heavy Support slot for some decent tanks and ranged threats.
The second detachment is an Outrider led by Baharroth and a Farseer Skyrunner. Baharroth is a great melee HQ with some potential to deal tons of mortal wounds and be an extremely slippery target constantly redeploying anywhere on the field. The Skyrunner is of course another mobile psyker that can be anywhere where their utility is needed.
Elites bring in a 10 man Avenger unit for some decent bodies and ok range attacks, while Fast Attacks start off with 3 Shining Spears for those deadly lances on mobile bodies.
Fast Attacks also see 10 Swooping hawks, a Vyper, and 5 Windriders for even more mobile threats to run circles around the opponents. A total of 10 Warp Spiders are also on the list for some slippery threats with decent weapons.
Finally closing out the list is a Shadow Weaver for a hint of extra AP shots.
And look at that… No space clowns to NERF!
