GW Announces New Seraphon Lord Kroak Model!

lord croak new 2021Get ready for some magic as a revamped Broken Realms Lord Kroak model looks ready to hit the tables soon- check it out!

Warhammer Community just unveiled one of the strongest mages to ever grace the mortal realms for an upcoming Broken Realms book. This is a weekly series GW is running, so if you like AoS minis, be sure to keep an eye out every Monday for new minis. If you want to see last week’s teaser of two witch hunters, you can check that out here

While this already has a model, it really needed an update, especially because it is still in finecast! The new version is definitely much bigger and more imposing on the battlefield. Since the old Slaan kit was almost identical, this could also be a multi-functional kit for both. Let’s check out the new model!

Revamped Broken Realms Lord Kroak Revealed by GW

The events of the Broken Realms are so cataclysmic that they threaten the Great Plan of the slann, and Lord Kroak is roused from his contemplation to intervene directly. Even after all this time, Kroak only seems to have grown in power. This is represented in your games with a new warscroll – but you’ll have to wait a little longer before we can tell you more than that.

Lord KroakWhile they don’t give any new rules, at least we know he’ll be getting them. The new model looks great, and finally, one of the most powerful mages of all time will actually have the mini to match! We’ll see how this build goes because there is not a ton of connection points for how big this looks. Let’s just hope it doesn’t turn into another Silent King-type situation!

The Current Mini

lord kroakOverall, the new mini is pretty sweet, especially when compared with the old one. The old one wasn’t very interesting with basically nothing going on and after many years, we’re finally seeing something new.

Lord Kroak 2When you get up close to the details, you can see how much is going on with the model. With so many little inlays and such, this will be quite the painting challenge.

Do you like the look of this revamped mini? Will you be picking one up when they come out?
