They didn’t really say much about this, but GW just dropped four FAQs for Age of Sigmar- check out what’s changing!
This time around, the General’s Handbook, Blades of Khorne, Kharadron Overlords, and Hedonites of Slaanesh all get an FAQ. None of them are super long, but a couple are pretty impactful.
While there is a little bit of bookkeeping to go though, some of the highlights are spawning Flesh Hounds directly into combat, and the Monstrous Compendium is officially dead.
We’ll cover most of it below since they are small, but you can download all of them here.
GW Drops Four Surprise FAQs For Age of Sigmar
First up, they more or less just confirmed that the lists from White Dwarf are official in all aspects. Nothing surprising here as they wouldn’t spend the time on it and then not make it official.
Maybe the most significant thing here is that the Monstrous Compendium and the Forge World units in it, are officially dead for Matched Play.
Blades of Khorne
First up, Karanak can actually summon units directly into combat, so pretty interesting. Next up, Magore’s Fiends can only summon a Flesh hound, not a Gore Hound, which has an extra attack and a ranged attack as well.
The rest is just cleaning up errors in the book itself.
Hedonites of Slaanesh
Here they are cleaning up some of the little things people tried to do, such as Figureheads of the Dark Prince, being chained, and Phantasmagoria being confirmed to be simultaneous.
Next, the Hellflayer rule was clarified to be mortals on a 3+. Then, the Lord of Hubris ability doesn’t stack as much, where you get the ability from the latter one.
Kharadron Overlords
This is great to see some clarification of transports, as they are generally a nightmare for rules. So, anything GW can do to make them more simplified is pretty great.
Then, there are some pretty big clarifications for other rules, and this is nice to see as this is the first big FAQ we have seen for them in a while.
