It appears GW misprinted their new limited edition Realmslayer books with a hilarious name spine of the book…
We’re not sure how the books went out like this, but when you see the pictures, you’ll see just how funny it looks. Mistakes happen, but it could be a little disappointing when you’re shelling out some serious cash for something like this.
It also looks like GW might have known about the issue and tried to hide it with their pre-order product shots, as they conveniently only show the end of the title on the spine.
Rfalmslayer: GW Hilariously Misprints Limited Edition Books
These are the product announcement images; as you can see, the spine is hidden. This could easily be a coincidence, or it could be GW trying to hide the issue.
We’re not really sure, but now let’s look at the misprint.
This picture comes from the Age of Sigmar FB Group, and you can see the glorious title, Rfalmslayer!
We all know Gotrek likes to indulge in a few beverages, and maybe he was the one writing this. Either way, it’s pretty crazy when you think about the book being a limited edition and carrying quite the price tag. Who knows, maybe GW will reprint them, and people who got the misprints will have a real collector’s item!
Realm Slayer Preview
What’s puzzling to us is the preview image from GW in June clearly shows the misprint. So, in theory, someone may have seen this at some point because they changed the angle of the product for all the pre-order images.
Either way, it’s an interesting footnote to the adventures of Gotrek. We wonder if GW will mention it or do anything for people who purchased it.
