Looks Like GW is Hiring an IP Reviewer for Animations

Warhammer + plus announcementGW is hiring an IP reviewer to make sure their new animations are on point and the tone is what they want- check it out!

This is interesting because at first we thought it was to look at what else is out there, but this is actually a job to check on GW’s own animations. They want to make sure every single part is consistent with their message, and 100% on brand. If you have an insanely intimate knowledge of the Warhammer universes, what every mini looks like, and how they should be portrayed, maybe this is for you.

You can click the link below to check out the job, or here.

GW Hiring IP Reviewer for Animations

Let’s check out the listing and see what it’s all about. Just keep in mind, you have to apply by Sunday, October 17th, 2021. It does say you can work remotely, but we imagine you would have to do all the work on UK time, but they don’t say that explicitly, so maybe there is hope for the rest of the world. Don’t wait around and miss the opportunity!

Responsibilities:

black templars sword brethrenAs Warhammer Animation IP reviewer, you will help Games Workshop deliver its worlds onto screens around the globe, making sure that every part of Games Workshop’s animation endeavours are authentic and of exacting quality, down to the last detail.  Most importantly you will be giving feedback on every single aspect of Games Workshop’s intellectual property. From a 3D CGI model, to the tone of a bellowed battlecry.

Day to day you will be working with our animation and production partners, helping them understand what we need, and reviewing what they create. This will range from checking the details of 3D CGI models, to explaining how the tone and themes of Warhammer: Age of Sigmar relate to a piece of music. You will be making decisions every day about what is an authentic use of Games Workshop’s IP and if it meets the quality we demand. These decisions will have a direct impact on the success and authenticity of high stake, high value projects. Staying on top of our ever evolving IPs will be essential. No matter where or how any part of Games Workshop’s IP is used, you will know what makes our IP distinct. And be able to explain how to achieve that distinctness.

Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with stakeholders at all levels – always gaining information and giving concise, constructive feedback in the right way.
  • Proven prioritisation and organisation skills –  to ensure you know what is happening with multiple varied projects at any given time.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to make decisions proactively and independently.
  • Experience in reviewing and checking content would be advantageous.

Working at GW

At Games Workshop we are looking for people who will do their best to understand the needs of the company and to put those needs first when they are at work. Because of this, we believe that what you are like, hence the attitude you show to work and the way you choose to behave is just as important as your skills and experience.

In return for your hard work, you will receive 33 days of holiday per year (including public holidays), a matching contributory pension scheme of up to 7.5%, a profit share bonus (subject to GW meeting profit targets), and the option to join our Share Save scheme.  Oh and let’s not forget, a staff discount of between 25% and 50% on our products!

Looks like a great opportunity for someone with an eye for detail.

Will you be applying for this? Do you think this is a good fit for your skills?
