GW Updates AoS Kragnos Release Allocations For This Weekend

By Rob Baer | June 3rd, 2021 | Categories: Age of Sigmar, Warhammer 40k Rumors

GW-allocationsIf you’re looking to buy any of the new AoS Kragnos items this weekend when they release, you may want to read this…

Looks like Pre-Covid allocations starting to come back some for all of this week’s release, not just the 40k Chapter Approved book.

For now, though, let’s check out what goes on pre-order this week, and then take a look at how many of each will be available, and round it up with our thoughts on the matter.

Broken Realms headers

Broken Realms: Kragnos $40 Limited Edition $80

The final installment for the Broken Realms saga arrives just in time for what looks to be a preview of the new AoS Starter box next Saturday.

What’s more, there are loads of new rules in the book, from warscrolls for the miniatures introduced below, to warscroll battalions and other updates for existing battletomes. You can also find six battleplans that let you refight the epic clashes described in the narrative.

Let’s hope the Destruction faction fairs better in AoS 3.0 than they did with the Broken Realms!

Kragnos, The End of Empires Model $160

Kragnos

Kragnos is a nigh-unstoppable juggernaut of destruction, especially when wielding the legendary shield, Tuskbreaker. Armed with the Dread Mace, made from the heart of a mountain, his realm-splitting might becomes truly cataclysmic. Having hunted the ancient race of drakes nearly to extinction for little more than sport, there’s not much left that can survive his focused rage.

Kroak trapped him under a mountain for thousands of years, but he’s finally escaped from his prison! Since he is a god of destruction, it makes sense that those armies follow him willingly into battle, even the Mega-Gargants look up to his powers (look how big he is compared to them).

If you’ve been looking for a centerpiece and a beat stick, this is going to be right up your alley! The mini itself is really something to look at and will be quite the painting challenge.

Lord Kroak $115

Lord Kroak

Lord Kroak’s stunning new model is as much a feat of structural engineering as it is miniatures design. Whether you’re looking for Kroak’s peerless sorcery to ensure your Seraphon never let the Great Plan go awry, or you’re simply after an incredible miniature to paint, you can pre-order this kit from next weekend.

The new model looks great, and finally, one of the most powerful mages of all time will actually have the mini to match! We’ll see how this build goes because there is not a ton of connection points for how big this looks.

Not to mention it’s no longer going to be finecast, so that’s just something nice for all Seraphon players out there.

Dexcessa and Synessa, the Talon and the Voice of Slaanesh $110

talon voice of slaaneshThis kit builds either Dexcessa, the Talon of Slaanesh, or Synessa, the Voice of Slaanesh, so if you want to swell the ranks of your hedonite host with both of these formidable daemons, make sure you pre-order two sets next weekend.

GW has been releasing the new Broken Realms minis like crazy lately, and we’re not complaining! These are coming hot on the heels of the new Lord Kroak mini, and of course, now we know they will also be in the same book.

Warsong Revenant $55

sylvaneth Warsong Revenant

Warsong Revenants are consummate all-rounders who make fantastic additions to all Sylvaneth armies. As well as possessing the ability to enhance the Bravery of friendly units while reducing that of your enemies, they’re no slouches in combat. The fact that they’re Wizards is an extra bonus too.

This definitely has some sweet detail, and we’re interested to see how the little army of spites actually works. It would be sweet if they made some swarm bases for them and you could sing them to life each turn! More likely it will just do damage to a nearby enemy, but the idea of Sylvaneth Scarabs sounds sweet!

Recognize that rumor engine? Who had money on it as being from an AoS mini?

Galen and Doralia $50Galen and Doralia ven Denst

We introduced this dad and daughter duo of Azyrite witch hunters back in March, and you can employ their magic-busting skills in your Cities of Sigmar armies soon. The ven Densts play a key role in the events of Broken Realms: Kragnos.

Looks like Galen will be able to do some serious damage in CC and get rid of endless spells. Overall the mini looks great and should be a fun addition to any Cities of Sigmar army.

You’ll get a mixture of long-range support and CC with the pair of witch hunters. They don’t mention any rules, but we assume she’ll be able to snipe characters with her crossbow. Either way, it’s a pretty sweet mini!

New AoS Battalion Boxes

  • The Butcher-Herd: $115
  • Drycha’s Spitegrove: $100
  • The Exquisite Pursuit: $90
  • Rattachak’s Doom-Coven: $90

battle boxesThese weren’t really revealed in much other than in a picture in White Dwarf, so forgive the tiny pic! But like all the previous Broken Realms releases, the factions inside all grabbed a new Battalion Box.

Warhammer 40k Chapter Approved 2021 $40

chapter approved 2021

Chapter Approved comes in two separate books for ease of reference. The Grand Tournament Mission Pack includes nine missions each for Incursion- and Strike Force-scale battles, as well as an updated set of secondary objectives, and more besides. Meanwhile, the Munitorum Field Manual is your one-stop shop for all your points value needs.

It’s back for 2021! The second installment of points updates and new missions for 9th Edition 40k drops next week for Warhammer 40k. Let’s hope there are enough to go around after 5 months of shameful allocations.

gotrek & felix 6th ombibus

Comprising City of the Damned, Kinslayer, and Slayer, plus the short story ‘Rememberers’, the sixth Gotrek and Felix Omnibus relates the adventures of the legendary pair during the final days of the World-that-Was. After a series of heartbreaking betrayals, the friendship of the unlikely duo hangs by the narrowest of threads, even as Gotrek’s inevitable doom approaches.

Looks like this is the big lead-up to the official reveal for Age of Sigmar 3.0!

Good News From GW on Allocations Across the Board

Previously we reported the following allocations for Kragnos releases that will be hitting store shelves this weekend.

Allocations GW

Listed to the right of each product are the allocations numbers (called “caps” now from GW) to stores from Games Workshop North America.

However now GW has updated these “caps” for retailers after their 4-day training lock-in last week for the new AoS dominion box set launch push, and now up to 10 of each of the AoS Kragnos releases can be ordered this week!

KragnosThis is good news for every Destruction player at a store that can use Kragnos, as there could be up to 10 to go around now.

Overall it’s better than before, but still, not exactly the pre-covid numbers retailers and customers had been used to!

What do you think of the latest round of allocations from Games Workshop? Good, bad, or more of the same?
