Hasbro Pulse occasionally gets a hold of some of the old collector items and puts them up for sale directly on their site. Get ready to experience and remember your childhood with this blast from the past.

Transformers Takara Tomy Golden Lagoon GL-01 Convoy (Optimus Prime)
Authentic Takara Tomy Product as sold in Japan, with original packaging and Japanese-language instructions. Figure comes in a special collector box, designed with a freestyle character art concept and gold leaf colors and textures. Includes: figure, ion blaster, Energon axe, and Matrix of Leadership accessories. Figure and accessories feature gold and gold chrome deco paying homage to the iconic “Golden Lagoon” episode from the original animated series.
The figure of course can completely transform into Optimus Prime’s famous semi-Truck!
This is a pretty sweet deal for collectors given that it is all together in a convenient package instead of having to search for it and all the accessories separately. Not to mention the value of having it in an unopened box.
The pre-order is pricey, but when you are in the market for collector items, everything is. The package features the original Japanese package and instructions which is a nice vintage/collector touch. Keeping it as original as possible is great to see.
If you miss the chance to get it and can’t order this anymore, look for it to pop up on the secondary market early next year. But probably for a decent amount more cash!
