Henry Cavill is one among a few wargamers in the entertainment space and he used his knowledge to tease some Mass Effect.
Henry Cavill is known for his roles as Superman and Geralt in The Witcher, but he is also just a Gaming Nerd and occasionally talks about his passion in his free time. There’s a clear emphasis on a recent Instagram post, let’s check it out.
Henry Cavill Teases A Potential New Mass Effect Project
“Secret project? Or just a handful of paper with random words on it…. Guess you’ll have to wait and see. Happy hump day all”
So what’s the big deal? Well, that paper is a little blurry, and thanks to some snazzy users we’re able to enhance and make out some of the words in the paper in his hand. “Cerberus”, “Tali’Zorah” and “Geth” are just a few of the standouts at first, which are all pretty directly pointing to Mass Effect.
If that wasn’t enough, the excerpt seems to be a copy from the Mass Effect 3 Wiki page:
“Following the events on Tuchanka and a failed coup by Cerberus to take over the Citadel, the quarians offer their support to the Alliance if Shepard helps them reclaim their homeworld, Rannoch, from the geth. Assisted by a quarian, either Tali’Zorah or Admiral Daro’Xen, Shepard boards a geth dreadnought and rescues a captive geth unit, either Legion or a facsimile occupied by a geth virtual intelligence (VI), then disables the Reaper control signal over the geth.”
The question then becomes why? Is Henry just reading up on some lore while the makeup department prepares him for The Witcher? Is he really actually teasing something, or just having fun with the audience? Maybe he’s casually just putting the idea out there to see if the fans are interested and if any company wants to run with the idea if there is enough hype…
We may not ever know, but man it would be awesome!
