By Travis Pasch | March 28th, 2021 | Categories: Magic The Gathering, Warhammer 40k Rumors

Magic The Gathering MTGMagic: The Gathering just released their Q3 & Q4 releases set names and it looks like D&D is coming along with more Innistrad!

Wizards of the Coast has recently updated both the release dates and set names for their new releases. When they originally laid out the release dates, they left some of the set names and some of the sets had different names. The first is a crossover with D&D, due July 16th, and the others, Innistrad: Midnight Hunt and Innistrad: Crimson Vow. Which are coming in late Q3/mid Q4. Let’s check out the details!

Magic: The Gathering Updates Q3 & Q4 Releases Set Names

Magic the Gathering set namesReleasing on July 16, we begin our journey in Faerûn with Adventures in the Forgotten Realms—the first time we’re bringing the world of Dungeons & Dragons to a Magic: The Gathering release. Unlike our usual mid-year Core Set release, Adventures in the Forgotten Realms has everything you love about Magic—mixed with the tropes and tools of Dungeons & Dragons for a flavorful and mechanically unique experience for players.

It’s an adventure unlike any you’ve seen in Magic yet!

This crossover makes sense as they are now both under, basically, the same banner. Should be cool to see what cards they come out with!

Innistrad: Midnight Hunt

Magic the Gathering set names 3Innistrad: Midnight Hunt releases September 17 and promises to be a howling good time. By the silvery shine of moonlight, you’ll find plenty of packs to hunt for. What you’ll do if you find a pack of Werewolf creatures—or, more likely, they find you—is entirely another matter. (Good luck!)

They don’t say much else, but at least we have a release fat to look forward to.

Innistrad: Crimson Vow

Magic the Gathering set names 2Innistrad: Crimson Vow releases November 19 and is a party unlike any you’ve seen before. This description is only a small bite—just a drop, really—of what to expect: the biggest Vampire wedding in Innistrad history.

With this not seeing release until almost the end of the year, we expect to see a lot more in the coming months about it.

Are you excited about the D&D cards? What set are you most looking forward to?
