Thanks to Best Coast Pairings, we can look back at the event as if we were all there ourselves. You can check out the details here.
3rd Place: Steven Crawley – Necrons
2nd Place: Matt Schuchman – Eldar
1st Place: Jack Harpster – Necrons
Jack’s Necron list was three detachments, with the first being a patrol led by a Chronomancer, which allows you to buff a unit with re-rollable charges and a 5+ invulnerable save. Troops bring in 5 Immortals, who bring in some pretty decent ranged firepower.
Elites have a Canoptek Reanimator for a decent buff to reanimation protocols. There is also a Spyder which is a cheap model with decent combat stats.
Heavy Support ends the first detachment with 7 Destroyers, who bring in fantastic ranged fire support.
The next detachment is an Outrider led by a Technomancer who can fly and heal units each turn, thanks to his Cloak.
Elites have a total of 12 Destroyers which are fantastic melee threats.
Fast Attacks bring in a huge 21 Scarabs, who are fantastic annoying units that can soak wounds and wrap up enemies in melee as distractions.
Ophydian Destroyers help out by bringing in some dense melee threats, and Tomb Blades provide some cheap mobile harass units.
And finally, Silent King. He is simply the best model in the Necron roster. he has it all. Decent shooting and melee, fantastic support abilities, and a durable statline. Everything this guy brings, you want in your Necron armies.
