New Dire Wolf Heavy Scout Titan Revealed

new-warhound-titan-1Forge World revealed the new Adeptus Titanicus Dire Wolf Heavy Scout Titan along with a couple of rules and weapon options!

If you’ve been dying for new titans, well, it looks like GW has you covered. They said it will be hitting shelves later this year, but don’t give an exact date quite yet. Still, when they reveal something it’s usually not more than a couple of months away. But, like a lot of the AT releases, this is coming from Forge World and not GW.

Dire wolf Scout Titan 4Warhammer Community unveiled the new titan along with a couple of rules for it as well. Let’s check out the newest titan!

New Adeptus Titanicus Dire Wolf Heavy Scout Titan Revealed

Dire wolf Scout Titan

Is that a Warhound? Is it a Reaver? No, it’s a Dire Wolf Heavy Scout Titan, an all-new variation of the Warhound Scout Titan with a big old extra gun right above the cockpit. And it’s disturbingly good at ambushes.

The gun on top of this is almost as big as the Titan! Honestly, it should be an interesting addition to your forces and hopefully not too expensive, but we’ll have to wait and see on that.

The Dire Wolf is especially favoured by the Traitor Legio Audax, but it can be fielded by any force, whether they’re loyal to the Warmaster or the Emperor. It introduces a bundle of new armaments, including two carapace weapon options – the armour-busting neutron laser and the old, reliable volcano cannon. On top of that, it sports twin Ardex defensor mega-bolters.

It’s nice to be able to field this by either side and hey, who doesn’t want big guns on small platforms? Not only did they reveal the mini, but also some new rules as well.

These diminutive bad boys pack a far heftier punch than their two-gunned cousins, though at Scale 6 they’re the same size. Their chassis have been modified to stabilise a heavier payload, with flatter feet and more armour plating. Likewise, the void shield generators have been moved to accommodate the big new guns.

And as you can see from the neutron laser, these reconstruction efforts have been worth it…

Even though they are fairly small, well for a Titan, they do pack a serious punch. Looks like they will be the same scale size as the Warhound class in Adeptus Titanicus.

Obviously, the Neutron Laser is going to be a little more expensive, but nothing too crazy. Then, the Mega-Bolter gets a decent number of shots to take out other small Titans.
