Eldritch Omens is finally hitting pre-order bringing new Chaos and Eldar 40k models to hobbyists this week!
Get those hobby dollars ready if you want any of these new releases from Games Workshop that will go up for pre-order with your favorite retailers on Saturday, February 5th, 2022 around 1 pm EST!
If you want all the new models for Chaos Space Marines or any of the Eldar stuff, this might be the week for you to pre-order!
Let’s check out the new box set!
Eldritch Omens Box Set
There’s plenty to say about this excellent battlebox – and there’s not long left to wait to get your hands on the 16 miniatures split between two forces. 15 of these are brand new and currently only available in this box, and one is a classic Forgefiend, which you can also build as a melee-focused Maulerfiend.
The Aeldari half is commanded by the new multi-part Autarch. This unmatched warrior boasts a smorgasbord of loadout options, befitting one who has walked every Path of the Warrior and emerged with the skills to pay the bills.
Fifteen of the sixteen models get a facelift in this Eldritch Omens box set. It’s a very exciting day for Chaos and Eldar players as we haven’t seen an update in their sculpts in years, these do not disappoint!
They’re backed up by five detailed Rangers, complete with cameleoline cloaks, nasty long rifles, and plenty of kit choices. Three Shroud Runners add a dash of mobility, placing Rangers on speedy new Raptor jetbikes to snipe targets before screaming off into the distance.
Shroud Runners with snipers attached is a nasty combination! Seeing those rangers hit the table is going to give Eldar a whole new vibe on the battlefield.
… five surly new Chosen. Decked out with vicious weaponry and ornate armour, these elite Heretic Astartes are determined to give the Aeldari a terrible time. With a Forgefiend at their side, that might not be too remote a prospect.
Eldritch Omens also contains a 32-page booklet featuring datasheets, narrative missions, and a new Theatre of War for you to play out the battle for the Maiden world of Daethe. You’ll also get over 700 transfers, split between Aeldari emblems and Chaos Legion logos, which will let you detail your forces however you choose.
The story behind this box ties into the current Nachmund season of Warhammer 40,000, doubling as an excellent place to get started with either army, and a great narrative hook for the current season
You won’t need the speed of a Shroud Runner to put your pre-order in next week. Eldritch Omens comes with a Pre-order Weekend Promise, so if you pre-order this box at any point during the weekend, you’re guaranteed to receive a copy, even if we have to make more to get it to you.
So the good news here is they are putting this on pre-order guarantee, which is a great thing. The problem is that none of GW’s box sets have sold out since hobbyists started catching on to what some say is GW’s excessive FOMO and paywall sales tactics starting with Kill Team Pariah Nexus.
Whether or not this box sells out will be a great test to see if consumer confidence in Games Workshop is back, or if the offering of a box of all new miniatures is not enough to get hobbyists to spend their hard-earned dollars on Valentines day weekend.
Also available this week on pre-order is something a little bigger…

Crusade Mission Packs are essentially expansions to Crusade, making this a great option to a ton of fans of the game mode.
Space Marine Captain in Gravis Armour Retail Price: $35
Click here to get yours for less from these retailers: | Amazon | Dicehead Games | Gold Goblin Games |
As well as three separate helmet options, this Gravis-clad Captain can be armed with a master-crafted power sword, a chainsword – ideal for taking the tasty Teeth of Terra Relic – or two power fists (which are better than one). He’s a superhuman for all seasons. OF WAR.
In the field, Space Marine Captains inspire those under their command to ever-greater feats, as well as inflicting massive damage in melee combat and at range.
This kit is comprised of 25 plastic components, with which you can assemble 1 Space Marine Captain in Gravis Armour equipped with a chainsword, a power sword, or a powerfist, as well as a boltstorm gauntlet. It is supplied with a 40mm Citadel Round Base.
I heard someone asked for a new Space Marine Captain… just kidding, but at least this new option isn’t just the same old model in a new pose like some of the older “new” models. This model is way cooler than the Dark Imperium box one!
Plus he just got new rules that you can download for free by clicking here.
Space Marines Primaris Ancient Retail Price: $35
Click here to get yours for less from these retailers: | Amazon | Dicehead Games | Gold Goblin Games |
With two different flags and heads to pick from, this new Primaris Ancient can be posed bracing his banner with a bolt rifle slung stylishly over one shoulder or taunting his foes with a casually held power sword. He’s a fantastic centrepiece to a company mustered for war.
In the field, the presence of these veteran Space Marines and their priceless relics inspires nearby battle-brothers to epic feats of bravery and aggression in their Chapter’s name.
This model includes a choice of a helmeted and unhelmeted heads, as well as two different banners with sculpted details, and a choice of bolt rifle or power sword. The kit is comprised of 22 plastic components, with which you can assemble 1 model, and is supplied with a 40mm Citadel Round Base.
The heraldry from the banner really helps to elevate the Space Marine chapter both as a support piece and as an awesome mini to stand out in a swarm of marines.
