new-gi-joe-animated-seriesGet ready for some action as a new G.I. Joe animated series is reportedly in the works and coming in 2022- check it out!

Rumor is that series was seen by Hisstank at an event they were invited to in Brazil. They are generally spot on with all G.I. Joe news, so this looks to be pretty legit! They played a clip at the event for attendees, while that hasn’t been released anywhere, they do give us a nice description of what to expect.

There also seem to be two seasons already being planned, with the first hitting in 2022 and the second season coming sometime in 2023. Let’s take a closer look at what details we know so far.

New G.I. Joe Animated Series Reported in 2022

Snake Eyes Hasbro Pulse

Snake Eyes 6″ Action Figure: Hasbro Pulse

The clip was only a few seconds long, so not too much to go off of yet. No streaming service has been announced yet either, so we aren’t sure quite yet where you’ll be able to watch. We assume though it will hit a major one (hopefully) so most people should be able to watch it. Here’s a quick description of the scene from Hisstank:

Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow are fighting a couple of enemies. Both their designs are brand new and futuristic.

They mention Snake Eyes has a silver visor and is armed with two Batman-style Gauntlets whereas Storm Shadow has the same gauntlets and is dual-wielding two Tang Hooked Katanas.

Snake Eyes:

    • Snake Eyes looks a lot like a black Power Ranger.
    • Wears bladed gauntlets like Classified Series Storm Shadow art (most popularly known as Batman Gauntlets).
    • Silver visor.
    • No weapon. Just a bad@$$ kick.

Storm Shadow:

    • Looks a lot like Marvel character Crossbones.
    • White high-collar jacket, no sleeves.
    • Like Snake Eyes, wears the same gauntlets.
    • Dual-wielding two Tang-hooked Katanas.

Enemies:

    • Two males. One bare-chested (tattooed?)
    • Wearing Japanese demon masks.
    • Bare-chested enemy wields double-ended Japanese Shoge Hook.
    • The other wields a straight sword while receiving a knee kick to the chest from Snake Eyes.

Location:

    • Top of a building. Helipad?
    • Neon signboards can be seen in the city.
    • 4th of July like fireworks; reminiscent of the intro of G.I. Joe: The Movie.

That’s pretty much all we know for now, but keep your eyes peeled for more info coming soon!
