Here is a neat little trick that GW silently rolled out on their webstore that will help you actually tell what is in stock and orderable…
Over the past few months, it’s been a guessing game on which items GW actually had in stock across their product ranges. Now there is an even easier way to tell if it’s time to get that model, or if it is about to sell out and we will have to wait a while.
How To Tell What GW Actually Has In-Stock Right Now
The recent closing of the North American warehouse may have encouraged GW to be a little more transparent on the storefront. As their “Available to Order” filter has changed (for the better)
The section currently appears to be displaying everything in stock, whereas before it was more for new releases that are no longer on pre-order. This slight change doesn’t seem too practical if you are looking for specific models, but if you are browsing this is much nicer, especially with a stock of items being so hit or miss thanks to the pandemic.
The “Selling Fast” filter also seems to complement this change.
The Selling Fast filter can serve as an early-warning system to help keep track of the items that will be low stock and eventually sell out soon. These two filters together could help you stay on top of the GW stock on items even if you might not get them.
This is technically speculation, but either way, more filters on the storefront are always nice, especially when they are useful.
What do you think about the GW online store? What filters would you add?
