GW Drops More Free Rules For The Horus Heresy!

Daemons of the Ruinstorm Rules featureGW is putting out new Horus Heresy Bound Daemons of the Ruinstorm rules for free- check out what the Daemons can do!

With the Astartes fairly fleshed out for the new edition of HH, GW will start focusing on the lesser-known players in the war. They have a new little campaign pack with Bound Ka’bandha, Bound Samus, Daemons, and Brutes rules.

From what we had heard, the rules would have two dozen or so units, but for now, we’re only getting four. However, they say more are in the works, just that they are hard to balance.

On top of that, they mention they are working on the Imperialis Militia book, which would also be a super fun army to convert up and play.

New Horus Heresy Bound Daemons of the Ruinstorm Rules Revealed!

The new rules come from this Warhammer Community post.

Daemons of the Ruinstorm Rules

In the first edition of a second wave of releases, the Horus Heresy team are now exploring some of the more unusual corners of an already strange war. We begin with the Bound Daemons of the Ruinstorm, a force that can be taken as allies and summoned right into the thick of things by Traitor forces (especially by their Esoterists). It’s joined by a new narrative scenario, The Burning of Ohmn-Mat.

Daemons of the Ruinstorm Rules 3

Our first stop is the Bound Daemons of the Ruinstorm, otherworldly monstrosities summoned from the warp to serve mortal summoners. Bound Daemons work as an Allied Detachment deployed alongside a Primary Detachment, and allow you to take the likes of Samus and Ruinstorm Daemon Brutes in your Traitor army.

After that, we’ll be returning to all things Daemonic with a full army list for the Daemons of the Ruinstorm, representing a full warp breach of Neverborn spilling out of the churning Sea of Souls. There’s more work to do yet – it’s a tricky faction to balance, but we hope to have it ready at some point over the summer.

Hopefully, they do get more rules in summer, as just four units aren’t really enough for a ton of models. Still, better than nothing, and the rules are free!

Bound Ka’bandha Rules

Daemons of the Ruinstorm Rules 4As you would expect, he has quite the profile, but also the points to go with it! With 8’s across-the-board and seven attacks, he should be able to smash through units.

Daemons of the Ruinstorm Rules 5Then, Sycthe of Hatred can really cause a bunch of extra wounds (as long as he did well in combat), and with S+4, he’ll be striking at Strength 12. On top of that, he has a great invuln save and plenty more special rules.

Bound Daemons Rules

Daemons of the Ruinstorm Rules 6The bound Daemon Regent is quite strong with a strong statline, a 4+ invuln, and decent weapons. Then, the Daemon Attendants are also pretty good, so it should be a fun unit to call down from the warp right into your opponents!

Daemons of the Ruinstorm Rules 7Last but not least, for now, you get the Brutes. Again, they have a pretty strong statline, decent invuln, and decent weapons. The rules also have all the summoning rules and how you can actually play with the daemons in Horus Heresy right now! You can get all the rules by clicking below.
