Well, if you want to add a giant knight in plastic to your collection, this is the week for you! Then, Underworlds get a couple of releases, and tons of new Black Library books are here!
A handful of releases make up next week’s lineup spotlighting the new Horus Heresy Cerastus Knight Lancer and Underworlds Skaven warband; here are all the details from Warhammer Community.
Horus Heresy Cerastus Knight Lancer: $200 €155 £120
Extremely tall and incredibly posable, this impressive kit comes with a transfer sheet containing 517 transfers with a mix of Knight Household emblems. You can use it in games of both Warhammer: The Horus Heresy and Warhammer 40,000.
We saw this model revealed a little while ago, so it’s nice to get the kit! Having giant kits like this in plastic is always lovely, as it should be much easier to build!
Skabbik’s Plaguepack $42 €34 £26
The Skaven of the Clans Pestilens are forever searching for the ingredients of the 13th Great Plague. The putrescent priest Skabbik has gathered a noisome band of ratty acolytes, who are gnawing their way to the heart of the Wyrdhollow to find one of these components. Blessed with rotten gifts, this warband corrupts the land while they do battle, dabbling in a little bit of Skaven backstabbing as they scurry to victory.
This is a great-looking warband; if you love pestilence, this is perfect squad for you!
Paths of Prophecy Rivals Deck: $29 €22 £17
Breathe twisted new life into your favourite warbands – old and new – with the Paths of Prophecy Rivals deck. This complete deck attunes your warband to the cosmic omens that suffuse the Wyrdhollow, allowing your fighters to follow mysterious auguries and forge a path to victory. This Objective-based deck pairs well with control warbands and those with a high model count – just in time for a certain Skaven warband which is up for pre-order next week too.
With magic in the air, you need a deck to harness that power!
The Fall of Cadia (Mega Limited Edition): $150
Cadia is reeling from the Thirteenth Black Crusade, but Lord Castellan Creed knows that this has just been a prelude to the real terror. Somehow, Caiphas Cain has been dragged back into the action. Desperate for retirement, this unlikely hero has been tapped up to find out why a newly founded Forge World has stopped producing weapons for the Imperial war machine. In Sandy Mitchel’s Vainglorious, the reluctant hero must deal with assassination attempts, rebellious Skitarii, and more as he digs into this mystery. You can pre-order this new Ciaphas Cain tale in hardback, eBook, and audiobook formats.
Ciaphas Cain is always a fun character to read about, and he actually gets two releases this week!
Ciaphas Cain: The Anthology: $27.00
On top of a new novel, you can dig into a collection of Cain’s old stories meticulously collected by the Inquisitor Amberley Vail that lay out this legendary hero’s improbable career. This massive anthology features the novella Old Soldiers Never Die and 13 short stories by Sandy Mitchell, in hardback, eBook, and audiobook format.
If the first book isn’t enough for you, grab the anthology and a ton of Ciaphas stories.
Longshot: $17.99
Darya Nevi is faced with an impossible choice – to stay true to herself and defend the Imperium even as her allies are picked off one by one, or give in and believe the promises made by the mysterious T’au Empire. Longshot is Rob Young’s first Black Library novel – you can read an expert right here – and will be available to pre-order in paperback, eBook, and audiobook formats next week.
It’s always fun to read about the Imperium fighting different Xenos races, so this should be fun whether you want the Tau to win or the Guard.
For Glory and Honour: $17.99
In humanity’s darkest hour, as the lines between war and diplomacy blur, the Space Marines battle to protect the Imperium. For Glory and Honour collects three novels from the Space Marines Conquests series which convey the awesome and terrible might of the Primaris Space Marines. This anthology will be available in paperback and eBook, and contains Fist of the Imperium by Andy Clark, Apocalypse by Josh Reynolds, and Of Honour and Iron by Ian St. Martin.
This contains three different novels, so should give you plenty of stories to read about for Space Marines!
Kasrkin: $17.99
Captain Bharath Obeysekera and his Kasrkin have been called to help rescue an Astra Millitarum general from a downed Valkyrie in the endless, sprawling deserts of Dashi i-Kevar. The T’au Empire stands in their way, but as the Astra Militarum clashes with this xenos, their war disturbs something resting deep below the sands. Kasrkin by Edoardo Albert will be available to pre-order next week.
