Koei Tecmo has been working on this for a little bit with Team Ninja, and now, the release date is confirmed and the trilogy is coming to modern consoles, including PC! Let’s go over the announcement and get down to the bottom of it.
New Ninja Gaiden Master Collection Gets a Release Date
In the games you play mainly as Ryu Hayabusa, however, at various points, you also meet some playable female characters. These are Ayane, Rachel, Momiji, and Kasumi.
The game is based in a world at risk where the wielder of the dragon sword (Ryu) must face off and put an end to the threats at large. Whether that be a Samurai spirit, or something more devious.
The trilogy features pretty high speed, high difficulty action based on a variation of the hack-and-slash style similar to God of War or Darksiders. The revival on modern hardware is sure to be a great experience as the added FPS and fidelity will make for even smoother transitions and gameplay than it was originally known for.
Not to mention, a PC release for the first time, which is a huge deal for anyone who wasn’t around or didn’t have the chance to play the console exclusives.
The Master Collection features Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, and Ninja Gaiden 3: Razors Edge. The collection will release to Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on Steam with all the DLC and playable characters. The slated date is June 10th, 2021. Which is pretty close, so fans don’t have to wait too much longer to re-experience the stories.
