New Transformers Magic: The Gathering Cards Revealed

It’s official, Transformers are getting Magic: The Gathering cards, and here is what has been revealed so far for the new set!

From the looks of it, these will be released in the upcoming Brothers’ War expansion (initial release November 18th).  So yes these cards will be the first Universes Beyond set that exists inside another normal expansion set!

This makes sense considering they own both IPs, and it’s a cool way to bring people into the game or grab the cards.

The initial release will be a run of 15 cards, but each has an evil and good version, and each card is double-sided, so while it doesn’t feel like too many cards, it sort of gives 60 additions to the game.

Transformers Magic Cards

Transformers Magic Cards 2This is what we meant about the different forms, Which are More Than Meets the Eye and Living Metal. This lets them flip the card into the alternate form and the ability to crew themselves without having to pay a crew cost.

Transformers Magic Cards 4They also have a Shattered Glass version where the Autobots are actually evil, and the Decepticons are the people’s voice.

It is pretty scary to see a pissed-off Optimus Prime!

Transformers Magic Cards 9The exact release details are a little slim at the moment, but when the Brothers’ War hits in November, we expect to see these in that initial release.

Transformers Magic Cards featureThey have a ton of classic favorites in the set and some lesser-known transformers as well.

Transformers Magic Cards 11If this does well, we expect to see more from them soon, and who knows? Hasbro owns an insane amount of IPs now, so they might just do a cross-over with every new release.

Especially with them even going outside to do things like 40k, who knows what we could see next?
