We’ve got a new GW rumor engine that looks like some sort of vampire hunter belt with a hammerhead, stakes, and a blade.
Warhammer Community just unveiled one more rumor engine and this time it looks like some sort of vampire hunter. Check out the details of this bit that look to be on the way for 40k or AoS!
New Vampire Hunter: GW Rumor Engine
Looking at this bit, it might be safe to say it’s more likely in Age of Sigmar instead of Warhammer 40k. There just isn’t anything that screams sci-fi on it. The spare blade and hammer head suggest some sort of adventurer perhaps even a Vampire hunter (not that we know they are a thing), rather than a soldier. Maybe a character of some sort?
If those are feathers (which they are probably not), we’ve seen a few humanoids using them, such as the Corvus Cabal or some of the older Aelf models.
If it’s knives instead of stakes though, it could possibly be Brunner the Bounty Hunter, or a similar character. If you have seen the cover of his book, he has very distinct throwing knives in a similar formation as what the rumor engine looks like. A bounty hunter would also explain the sheath on the blade, as chaos probably doesn’t care as much about safety or the quality of tools.
The real question then becomes is who or what would this fit best on? Maybe we will get surprised and see it land in 40k?
What do you think this is?
