The countdown has begun! Games Workshop’s staff has completed their “special” training for the new Heresy release. Checkout the latest rumors on how it all may go down next week.

Games Workshop staff both in store, and trade sales, completed a two day “training” course on Friday on the new Horus Heresy Box set release. The goal of the training was as one industry insider who requested their name be withheld told us:

“to make sure Workshop (GW) doesn’t f— up this release like they did with Age of Sigmar”.

Very blunt indeed. I think we can all agree that GW probably punted the release of AoS in spectacular fashion back in July, but hey we all love an underdog and a comeback kid right?

So it’s good to see that they are taking what looks to be proactive steps to make sure their “Cash Cow” Horus Heresy is well received in a time where their stock prices have no more wiggle room heading into January’s mid year reporting statement.

And here’s the latest from the man who started the rumors almost a year ago:

“Would appear that it is indeed 95GBP not 90 as I was originally told.

As for the “Limited” nature of this product, if you look back at my original post from February I do believe I said it would be available for a certain period of time (I think it was 6 months IIRC) before being replaced by the main 30k range, at which point the components of this box will be available separately as part of that range….. as well as other kits. I do not believe I said it would be produced in Limited numbers/quantity. Of course I’ve been wrong before, but that’s what I was told at the beginning of the year.”

So get ready to hear much more this week on the new HH boxed set starting Monday when your FLGS or GW store manager will be allowed to fill everyone in on the product roll out!
