Soulblight Gravelords Start Collecting: Value & Pricing

Soulblight walWith the new book dropping, it’s time to take a look at the Soulblight Gravelords Start Collecting box and see what the value is!

These are designed to get a small force on the table quickly and save new and veteran players alike some cash. So whether you already have an army or are just starting one, these usually can be a decent value. They have been these for each new Broken Realms book, but also with each new battletome.

We were hoping this box would come with the new skeleton warriors, but still, you get a decent amount of minis inside. It seems just a little strange to come out with all the new minis and then only include one of them in the box.

Just to note though, this does have some extra value on launch because the Wight King is only in this box right now, so even though you only get one new mini, it is exclusive. Overall, it will save you some cash and help you get minis on the table with one big buy. Let’s check out the value!

Soulblight Gravelords Start Collecting: $95

With 26 minis inside you do get a good little core to build out from. If you don’t want Grave Guard though, the box really isn’t worth a buy as that makes up a ton of the value right there.

  • 20 Grave Guard: $88 ($44 per box of ten)
  • 5 Black Knights $38 (temporarily out of stock online)
  • Wight King on Skeletal Steed $45 (based on Zandtos)

Total MSRP: $171

Value: $76

Overall the price point and value are both pretty decent. With 20 Grave Guard included, you basically get everything else for free, in a sense. The value is also greater if you really want the Wight King because for now, this is the only place you can get the mini. So it will save you some hobby dollars if you need the minis inside!

Will you be picking this up? Do you like the units included?
