Stormsunder Hits Pre-order After Kickstarter Success!

stomsunderStormsunder: Heirs of Ruin was funded like crazy on Kickstarter, and if you missed this dope boardgame, don’t worry, you can get on the preorder now.

Stormsunder is a solo/cooperative RPG board game that combines awesome minis and a really fun combat system. It has all the elements of character development, deck building, and fast-paced combat in one game. One of the common downsides of RPG’s is that the combat is slow, to say the least… If you’ve been wanting to play a campaign that comes with insane minis and in-depth world-building, we’d give this a try.

Stormsunder featureThe basis for the game was inspired by PC roleplaying games where you aren’t always so worried about character survival. Fight against AI, with friends or solo, to find the best treasure you can and complete your goals. While the whole troupe may have a common goal, each hero has his/her own agendas! Let’s take a closer look.

Everything You Can Get:

All the Stuff StormsunderThat’s a lot of stuff! While they have plenty of small boxes to get whatever heroes and factions you want, might as well go big. They have a bunch of different pledge levels so you can tailor your collection to whatever size you want to play. If you love all things fantasy, check out what else is happening here.

Stormsunder Books:

Rule BookThe rulebook is available for download on their site already! So if you want to study up and get ready for the game, feel free.

Campaign bookThe Campaign Book also has a demo set of rules online as well. They are still ironing out a couple of things but it’s so awesome to get early access to the rules.

Stormsunder Scale:

Stormsunder Minis

Stormsunder Minis 2

Stormsunder Minis 3The scale of the game is set at 32mm. That doesn’t mean all the minis will be that size however! They want to give a great feel of scale while the models are in combat. Just look at how big some of these are! 120mm sounds good to us. Just make sure you find plenty of treasure before you fight that monstrosity!

Heroes:

Aleksander

Adina

Capac Roca

VanessaThey have up to six heroes to choose from. Each hero is far more powerful than the normal dudes and each one has its own personality and agenda. Be careful who you choose to party up with! You never know what they are trying to gain. Every hero mini is really insane and we can’t wait to play with them.

Factions:

Stormsunder faction

Stormsunder band 2

Stormsunder bandWhether you like Vampires, Zombies, or Pharaohs, you can fight with and against all of them. The Storm is chock full of many divergent factions and monsters, giving the games so many different feels.

Card System:

Card Setup

Card Setup 2The combat will utilize a deck-building style system. When you pick up new treasure, gear, and spells, you add them to your character. Then you can cast spells, equip new gear, etc…

Game Mats:

Storm BoardThey have five different double-sided map tiles. This lets you play games small to large and with each one being double-sided it adds even more variety. They are laid out in a tile format to make the game go quickly and be more fun.

That does it for this awesome new RPG game system! If you’ve been looking for a new game to play, we’d give this one a look.
