The A-Team Van LEGO Idea Kit Fully Supported!

By Andrew Schrank | September 7th, 2021 | Categories: LEGO, Pop Gamer Culture, Warhammer Rumors & News

After being proposed via the LEGO Ideas portal, this new A-Team Van has been fully supported and hopefully will see an official release!

If you didn’t already know, LEGO puts up fan-created kits on their Ideas site for builders to vote on. This gives the kits an opportunity to garner support from the community and the best kits can then be created as official products!

The proposed A-Team kit can be found there, but we will also cover some of the details below.

The user who designed this kit, HenkvdL05, had this to say about his inspiration:

I recently got the inspiration to design a certain A.I. Car with its accompanied Semi-Truck from a popular TV series from back in the 80s and while in the process of the design, I though, what other popular vehicles from 80s shows would translate well into a LEGO format, and the first thought that came to mind was the black and grey van with its distinctive red decal used as main transport by the A-Team.

Due to another recent A-team submission, I initially decided to delay submitting this project for a couple of months. My son reminded me, that it is too good not to share and that the people will decide with their votes if they like it. Here it is, My version of the legendary A-team Van, accompanied by BA Baracus, Hannibal, Face and Howling Mad Murdock

If anything is true, it’s that this kit looks just like the real deal. Even if you didn’t know about the A-Team, this looks like a pimpin’ LEGO van.

The A-Team van were designed in scale to fit in with the new 8 stud wide vehicles that were introduced by LEGO in early 2020, which allow your minifigures to sit side by side while still maintaining a build that is within scale with minifigures.

Normal minifigures seem to flawlessly fit right in, plus you have fully working sliding and swinging doors!

The Van comes out to be 3 by 7 by 4 inches and is made up of 470 pieces. This is a smaller kit, but it still manages to pull off the look of the A-Team van flawlessly, making it a great kit for fans if it manages to make it into official development by LEGO.
