Alun’s Custodes were led by two Captains on Dawneagle Jetbikes. Both are extremely durable, but they also give you rerolls of 1 for hit rolls to nearby troops- not just core (for now). The Jetbike is also a huge boost to mobility.

Troops bring in 6 Custodians, who each allow for some more bodies to take advantage of rerolls while being pretty elite and dense compared to other faction’s options. There are also 3 Sagittarum with Misericordia. All 3 Troop squads have decent melee and shooting, giving flexible units, that can do either or depending on your current situation.

Elites bring in a Galactus Dreadnought, 4 Prosecutors, and a Vexilus Praetor. The Dread brings a large unit that can do both melee and shooting while being a durable threat that’s hard to take down. Prosecutors offer some decent anti-psychic options without costing too many points. The Praetor brings a variety of buff options thanks to their wonderful Vexilla ability.

Fast Attacks start by adding 5 Venatari Custodians to the list. The Venatari serve as the mobile force, adding some fast threats that can be anywhere you need them. There are also 3  Vertus that serve as some additional ranged anti-armor support with high S, AP, and damage shots.

Lastly, there is a Telemon Heavy Dread running Arachnus Storm Cannon and Castus. This Dread offers a great mobile ranged weapon that can focus on armor threats, while also having a decent melee option if it gets stuck in combat. Not to mention it’s very durable so it’s likely to last through the early rounds.

Grats to Alun!

Custodes have won this time, but what do you think about all three of these most recent lists?
