Top 40k Army Lists At The Giga-Bites RTT: Eldar Reign
Thanks to Best Coast Pairings, we can look back at the event as if we were all there ourselves.
3rd Place: Jeremy Jackson – Chaos Daemons
2nd Place: Collin Cochran – Chaos Knights
1st Place: Daniel Hesters – Eldar
Daniel went for a mixed Eldar list featuring Ynnari and the Yncarne for its power spike! One of the biggest reasons to play Ynnari is for the access to Yncarne as it is essentially between a Chaptermaster and Primarch in power level. It is a very nimble and deadly melee combatant. It is extremely durable and mobile thanks to; halving damage, having a 4+ involve, and teleporting to any unit that is completely wiped out.
Yvraine is another great upside for running Ynnari as a good overall psyker with some great durability rules like a 4+ invuln and self-healing caked into the kit.
The rest of the Ynnari Patrol is just some Troupes and Rangers to fill out the Troop slot cheaply and efficiently as they are both great options from the extensive roster.
The second detachment is a Patrol of Craftworlds led by an Autarch for its great mobility and re-roll aura, while a Farseer Skyrunner adds some mobility and another good psyker to the list for support options.
Troops bring in more Rangers and Troupes, nothing too special here.
Fast Attacks start off with four Shining Spears, which are great mobility options with even better anti-armor weapons.
There are also four Skyweavers for more mobile threats to help wherever it is needed.
Heavy Supports feature two Void Weavers for some fantastic anti-armor shots and a War Walker to help round out points and add a few shots down range.
Finally, the third detachment is simply for a Webway, which helps by adding extra obstacles to the field that you can use as cover and also provides support for deep striking units (in close).
