1st Place: Mark Hertel- Cult Mechanicus
Mark Went with a battalion of Adeptus Mechanicus, led by none other than the brand new Skiitarii Marshal and two Tech-Priest Manipulus. This combination offer wound rerolls of one, and even some extra healing every turn to help keep models topped off, along with some extra bonuses like a bonus to AP for a unit.
As for Troops, there are 40 Rangers and 40 Vanguard. These are nearly identical, however, Rangers get a free movie at the start of the game making them slightly more mobile and Vanguard help make units in melee with them slightly weaker, allowing them to last slightly longer after getting charged.
Overall, both squads are great for mucking up the board, grabbing objectives, or even just a plain and simple volume of shots.
For Elites, there is an Electro Priest squad that excels in melee and can catch people off guard when hiding among an overall otherwise completely ranged focused list. There are also 20 Sicarian Infiltrators who can be set up essentially as deep striking, but during deployment, making them extremely mobile.
Fast Attacks, he brought in 7 Ironstrider Ballistarii, which are great ranged units. They combine great mobility, decent durability, and heavy-hitting high-strength ranged weapons. Finally, there is a single Skorpius Dunerider for a decent option to transport one of the smaller squads like electro-priests.
Overall, this list features strong ranged options, as is expected from Ad mech, but they also have some sneaky melee options to help catch units and players off guard to hopefully punch up quite a bit!
