Top Warhammer 40k Army Lists: Battle For Salvation GT
Thanks to Best Coast Pairings we are able to look back at the event as if we were there ourselves. You can check out the details for the event here.
1st Place: Daniel Wohlmuth – Sisters of Battle
2nd Place: Mark Hertel – Ad Mech
3rd place: Josh Schutz – Tyranids
One of the more interesting lists this time around Josh did well with a mix of Tyranids and GSC!
Josh’s Tyranids list is made up of three patrols with the first led by a Hive Tyrant and a Neurothrope. The tyrant serves as a fantastic flyer with great melee weapons, while the Neurothrope is a pretty cheap Psyker that also has re-rolls for manifesting them.
Troops see 16 Genestealers for some cheap bodies and meat shields, while Elites bring in a Lictor and a Pyrovore for two more bodies.
The second Patrol is led by another Neurothrope for its psychic support and has 10 Termagants in troops for bodies with a hint of range capabilities.
Elites bring in 12 Hive Guard which are great ranged units thanks to their hard-hitting mortar-style weapons that don’t require line of sight.
The final Patrol starts off with a Patriarch, offering up some auras and a hint of extra psychic support. Troops add a total of 25 Acolytes with 8 Heavy Rock Saws for huge damage potential in melee.
Elites see the inclusion of 9 Metamorphs running flamers for some assistance clearing chaff and the final units are 2 Goliath Trucks to help move some bodies up the board protected!
