Top Warhammer 40k Army Lists: Glasshammer RTT #11
Thanks to Best Coast Pairings we are able to look back at the event as if we were there ourselves. You can also check the rules for this event here.
If you wanted to see the names and factions of the overall winners, we’ve included that below.
Also if you happened to miss it, the meta will be changing in some manner due to the new Balance Update for 40k that Games Workshop published in November.
3rd Place: Ben Pritchard – Dark Angels
2nd Place: Aidan Brocklehurst – Space Wolves

1st Place: Rich Bladen -Imperium
Rich is going old-school, with the help of the recent balance changes, he aimed to work in a mixed knight list and succeded!
First, there is a patrol of Astra Militarum led by a Company Commander. Troops see the inclusion of 10 Guardsmen for some bodies to sit on objectives, and 10 of the slightly more elite Tempestus Scions for more bodies that are just a tad better (and more expensive).
Elites start off with a Command squad of 4 Veterans for another group of cheap bodies.
The slot rounds out with 10 Veterans once again just adding to the body count of the list to help make up for the Knight’s weakness. Fast Attacks add a single Scout Sentinel, most likely as a simple movement piece that helped get closer to the perfect 2k point cap.
Finally, the detachment ends with a Manticore, which is a great long-range artillery piece that can pump out damage from afar all game long.
Speaking of Knights, there is a single Super-heavy consisting of 8 of them! First up there are 2 Armiger Warglaives running melta, cleaver, and spears for a good balance of melee and ranged damage, all while being on a cheaper and more mobile chassis than the larger Knights.
Next, there are 5 Moirax with Lightning Locks, which are cheap options that can help to pump out a ton of shots every turn, perfect for clearing chaff. Finally, there is a Knight Magaera loaded up as a character with an heirloom. This beast is the most expensive model and makes for a fantastic chaff clearer and elite crusher all in one! Of course, it also has the benefit of being pretty hard to take down!
