The Heroes Monthly ITC happened over the weekend with some pretty sweet 40k army lists taking the top spots!
The tournament is over and now we’re able to look at which lists managed to secure a place at the top! Check out what these winners brought in their armies.
Top Warhammer 40k Army Lists: Heroes Monthly ITC
Thanks to Best Coast Pairings we are able to look back at the event as if we were there ourselves.
If you wanted to see the names and factions of the overall winners, we’ve included that below.
3rd Place: Eric Bucheger – Necrons
2nd Place: Nick Gower – Drukhari
1st Place: Myles Branaum – Tyranids
Myles starts off with a single battalion of Tyranids led by a Tyrant and a Swarmlord. The Tyrant is a melee super house and thanks to his wings can quickly move around the map to lay havoc on enemies. The Swarmlord is a similarly melee supercharged unit, but also has the added benefit of psychic power access making it a great support piece.
Troops keep it simple with a total of 9 Warriors running melee loadouts, they are cheap and can still do a little bit of damage if ignored.
Elites bring in 3 Venomthropes, which can deal with a few mortal wounds and have the huge benefit of making nearby Tyranids harder to hit with ranged weapons.
Fast Attack is where we see the goal of the list with a huge portion of the list’s points spent. There are 3 Dimachaerons, which are essentially melee tanks, bringing insane stats and great weapons.
Heavy Support keeps on a similar plan with two Scythed Heirodules, who once again are melee powerhouses but also have some great flamers to help clear out any pesky chaff units.
