1st Place: Alex Harrison – Deathwatch
Alex went for a single detachment of Deathwatch led by a Primaris Captain and 2 Techmarines. The Captain has the important job of giving rerolls to nearby units and the Techmarines help by making sure vehicles get topped off and last a few extra rounds into the game.
Troops see the inclusion of 15 Deathwatch Veterans taking a total of 3 Shotguns and 12 Frag Cannons. This makes for some decent anti-armor shots and even can use its blast ammo for chaff. Elites add in 3 Redemptor Dreads and 3 Contemptor Dreads making for some very tough and versatile ranged threats. Plasma Incinerators serve as great anti-armor, while Storm bolters and Culverin are great at chaff clearing.
Heavy Support brings in a Sicaran which has even more blast for some chaff clearing and doesn’t need line of sight to shoot.
Finally, there is a single Drop pod just to round off the points and provide some flexibility and mobility to one of the units in the list to catch the opponent off guard.
What do you think about all three of these top 40k army lists from the London GT? Do you like seeing the Deathwatch do well?
