Top Warhammer 40k Army Lists: Paragon City Games GT
Thanks to Best Coast Pairings we are able to look back at the event as if we were there ourselves.
If you wanted to see the names and factions of the overall winners, we’ve included that below.
Also if you happened to miss it, the meta will be changing in some manner due to the new Balance Update for 40k that Games Workshop published earlier in November.
3rd Place: Charles Metts – Drukhari
2nd Place: Derek Holder – Adeptus Custodes
1st Place: Colin Kay – Orks
In Colin’s Orks list we see the snap-include of Ghazghkll Thraka! He is may just be too good for his points not to include him. From support to laying down the beat-stick, he does it all, and while being super durable as well.
The second detachment is led by a Beastboss on Squigosaur and a Weirdboy. The Beastboss helps out by providing re-rolls of 1 to hit to nearby Beast Snagga units, and the Weirdboy is there for the bonus of Psychic support.
Troops see a fresh 10 Boyz join in, as they are the basic troop for any Ork list!
Elites bring 2 squads of Kommandos for a total of 10 bodies to help secure the objective and take advantage of re-roll auras. Fast Attacks bring 10 Stormboyz which has the bonus of mobility on their side. They also bring the total amount of bides for re-rolls and securing objectives up to 30. Finishing the detachment is a single Trukk to help move some of the Orks downrange while being somewhat protected.
The final detachment is led by Boss Zagstruk and a Warboss on Warbike. Zagstruck is essentially a character Stormboy, making him a mobile threat that wants to charge and get into melee, while the Warboss is more durable but still just as fighty.
Elites also see the addition of 5 more Kommandos for some melee threats that can help grab objectives or simply crash into front lines and get some damage in.
Fast Attacks only have 1 unit of war bikers, which are nice thanks to their movement every turn being able to skirt around the field.
Lastly, there are Heavy Supports which start with 3 Kill Rigs, bringing quite a bit of firepower on mobile platforms and closing with a Mega Dread, which will kill pretty much anything at its point value in melee if allowed to get in at full strength.
