The Return Of The Leftovers GT happened over the weekend with some pretty sweet Grey Knights 40k army lists towards the top!
The tournament is over and now we’re able to look at which lists managed to secure a place at the top! Check out what these winners brought in their armies.
Top Warhammer 40k Army Lists: Return Of The Leftovers GT
Thanks to Best Coast Pairings we are able to look back at the event as if we were there ourselves.
If you wanted to see the names and factions of the overall winners, we’ve included that below.
However, we aren’t covering all those lists, instead, we will be looking at just a few of our favorite, but still strong lists!
Also if you happened to miss it, the meta will be changing in some manner due to the new Balance Update for 40k that Games Workshop published earlier in November.
Perhaps Grey Knights are on the rise overall. The question is can they catch the Dark Eldar?
3rd Place: Matthew Rogers – Grey Knights
2nd Place: Tarzan – Orks
1st Place: Sean Rice – Grey Knights
Sean went for two detachments of Grey Knights, with the first being a patrol led by a Librarian for psychic support along with a Grand Master in Nemesis in Dread for a fantastic threat who even comes with his own psychic power abilities as well.
Finishing the small patrol is a single Strike Squad just for a few bodies and to round out the patrol requirements.
The second patrol is led by a Techmarine, which helps to heal up the Dreadknights, and of course, a second Grand Master in Dread, because it’s easily the faction’s best model!
Troops bring in one more Strike squad for bodies and to help out grabbing objectives.
Elites bring in a total of 10 purifiers for some extra psychic damage and bodies for grabbing objectives. Fast Attacks bring in 20 Interceptors for even more bodies, this time with the huge benefit of extra mobility to zip around the field.
Finally closing out the list are 2 Nemesis Dreads which are very similar to the Grand Masters but without some of the benefits that come with being more expensive characters.
