Twitch and FB Gaming viewership exploded year over year in October with over 1.9 billion hours of video streamed just on Twitch!
It seems like people couldn’t get enough of streaming in October as Twitch was up 19% from last year and Facebook Gaming had a 61% rise from this time last year. The numbers come from Rainmaker.gg who are StreamElements analytics partners.

While a small part of this is just for Warhammer-related content, it looks like people are flocking to any streaming platform they can find. Even though Facebook Gaming doesn’t have quite the market share as Twitch, they still accumulated 512 million hours of watched content.
Twitch Viewership Gets Huge Bump From Last Year
October took the top spot for the past five months, but that’s not too surprising when you consider summer generally slows down. If you look back at March-May however, each month racked up over 2 Billion hours of views, which is just insane. League of Legends took the top spot in terms of overall viewership which was in large part due to Worlds falling in that month. Overall LoL made up 205 million hours on the platform.
Dota 2 saw an increase of 189% to 97 million hours viewed, which also had some big events in October. With the International being played during that month.
While all these numbers are impressive, there are also plenty of Warhammer content creators on platforms like Twitch and YouTube to watch while hobbying as well!
