Wargames Atlantic dropping two new sets of WWII miniatures, British SAS Commandos, and German Sentries, for Grey For Now Games!
Wargames Atlantic is always coming out with incredible new models, and their kits are always affordable and full of detail. These new sets are no different, and with them being available to pre-order, you can get as many of them as you need right now.
With the price of the sets, you get 30 (40 in the German box) models for barely over a dollar a model. That is just crazy in today’s market. Just to note, these are on pre-order right now but will be released in January.
We’re excited to announce not one but TWO new box sets to add to our growing WW2 World Ablaze range! Coming in January worldwide!
These sets are built with the frames we designed for Grey for Now Games’ 02 Hundred Hours game of night raids in World War 2!
British SAS Commandos Miniatures: $34.95
Inspired by the mobile commandos of the Boer War, the Special Air Service was formed by Britain after the fall of France in 1940. Volunteers underwent rigorous training covering weaponry, stealth, orienteering, air, and amphibious assault, demolition, and a number of other critical skills to operate behind enemy lines. The Commandos operated extensively during World War 2 in multiple theaters.
This box set includes enough parts to build 30 SAS, SBS, or Royal Marine Commandos with a variety of headgear. Equipment includes Sten, Bren, and Tommy guns, Lee Enfield rifles, sniper rifles, pistols, knives, a demo charge, and radio equipment.
German Sentries Miniatures: $34.95
As we said this actually has 40 models if you include the 10 dogs, so just a crazy value for the price.
German soldiers were assigned to thousands of non-combat roles in both conquered territories and within their own borders. Soldiers could be tasked with watching over prisoners of war camps and secret military facilities, as bodyguards for higher command, for run-of-the-mill guard duties, and in military police roles. In some cases, they were taken from the best and brightest, but most were just average men in unexciting jobs. Sometimes, though, even the seemingly most boring role was not necessarily safe.
This box set includes enough parts to build 30 German sentries, officers, Feldengendarmes (military police), and guard dog handlers. Weapons and equipment include MP40 SMGs, Mauser rifles, Luger pistols, flashlights, and binoculars. Figures can be modeled checking papers, saluting, surrendering, and even smoking a quick cigarette. There are also 10 German Shepards!
